Qualifying Marks — Category Wise
As per Postal Directorate letter no. 17-08/2018-SPB-I dated 10.05.2019 and letter no. 17-08/2018-SPN-I dated 19.12.2022, the minimum qualifying percentage is:

Important Rules Used in Preparing the Result
- Only Paper-I marks count for merit. As per Directorate letter no. 17-08/2018-SPB-I dated 10.05.2019, amended by letter no. 17-08/2018-SPN-I dated 29.05.2024, only Paper-I marks are taken for merit of qualified candidates. Paper-III (DEST) is only of qualifying nature.
- Single merit list. As per Recruitment Rules notified in GSR 459(E) dated 17.06.2022, a single merit list of LDCE candidates was prepared for the Circle (Category A first, then Category B), and candidates were allotted to Divisions/units as per merit and their order of preference, subject to availability of vacancies.
- Tie-breaking rule. Where candidates scored the same marks in Paper-I, inter-se merit was decided as per Directorate letter no. 04-08/2019-SPN-I dated 11.12.2020.
- Vigilance clearance. The latest vigilance clearance reports from all Divisions/units were taken into consideration.
- OMR rejection. Candidates who did not bubble their Roll Numbers properly on the OMR sheet were rejected, as the system could not capture their actual roll number. Candidates who left the Paper Series blank or filled multiple bubbles in Paper Series were awarded zero (0) marks by the system.

No further extension will be allowed.
If a candidate does not give acceptance or refusal in writing within one week, it will be deemed to have been refused. In that case a supplementary result will be declared and the post will be offered to the next eligible candidate.

- Before appointment, it must be ensured that no disciplinary or vigilance case is pending, contemplated, or punishment is current against the selected candidate. Such candidates should not be promoted/appointed, and their details must be reported to the Circle Office immediately.
- If it is later detected that a candidate applied or appeared with a false declaration or data, the selection will be cancelled without notice.

- Paper-I decides everything. DEST only has to be cleared. So put most of your effort into Paper-I. Marks there decide your rank and your division.
