A copy has also been sent to the Circle Secretaries of the concerned unions.

What Details Are Given in the List?

For every Postal Assistant, the gradation list shows:

  • Name of the official
  • Community (UR, SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PH, ESM)
  • Mode of selection (DR – Direct Recruitment, or LDCE – departmental exam)
  • Date of birth
  • Date of entry in the Department
  • Date of entry in the PA cadre
  • Present division
  • Marks / Rank
  • Recruitment year
  • Remarks (Rule 38 transfer, merger, LDCE selection, etc.)

Interesting Points from the List

  • Many LDCE candidates are in the list. These are officials who came up through the Postman to PA and MTS to PA departmental exams.
  • New entries from LDCE-2026 (Category A and Category B) have been added at the end of the list.
  • Some officials have joined from GDS and through Sports Quota.
  • Several PAs of the SBCO branch have been merged into PA (PO) cadre.
  • A large number of officials have come to Uttarakhand through Rule 38 transfers from other circles like UP, Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Gujarat and Kerala.

👉 This shows how important the LDCE route is. A good rank in the PA SA Departmental Exam directly decides your place in the seniority list.

How to Raise an Objection

  1. Check your name and details in the draft list.

  3. Attach supporting documents (appointment order, result memo, transfer order, etc.).
  4. Submit it to your own Divisional Office, not the Circle Office.
  5. The Division will check and decide it at its own level.
  6. Only clear and obvious errors will be sent by the Division to the Circle Office for correction.

Key Rules to Remember

  • Individual representations will be decided by Divisions only. Do not send them directly to the Circle Office.
  • Divisions must circulate the list to all officials.
  • Divisions must send a certificate saying the list was circulated and all objections were handled.
  • If no report comes within 30 days, it will be assumed that there are no objections, and the list will be finalised.

Why Is the Seniority List So Important?

Your seniority decides many things in your career:

  • Future promotions to higher grades
  • Your position in transfer and posting matters
  • Priority in certain service benefits
  • Settling disputes about who is senior

A small mistake, like a wrong date of joining, can affect your Postal Assistant Promotion for years. So take 10 minutes and check your entry today.
