How the Merit List Was Prepared

  • One single merit list was made for the whole Karnataka Circle.
  • Candidates were placed in divisions based on merit + their choice of division.
  • Many reserved category candidates with high marks were “Selected against UR”, which means they got selected on merit in the general list.
  • If a candidate ranked well but their preferred division was already full, they did not get a post. This is clearly mentioned in the result.
  • Some PwBD candidates could not be placed because no vacancy was left in their category in their preferred divisions.

Important Rules for Selected Candidates

Please read these points carefully if your name is in the list:

  • Joining deadline: If you do not join by 30-10-2026, it will be treated as refusal.
  • On leave? You can join later if you inform in writing within 7 days that you accept the appointment.
  • Driving licence: You must get a licence for a two-wheeler, three-wheeler or light motor vehicle within 2 years. If not, your yearly pay increment will be stopped until you produce it (maximum 5 years). Persons with disability are exempted.
  • Re-allotment not allowed: Once you join your allotted division, you cannot ask for another one later.
  • Declined before? If you declined an earlier appointment, you will be appointed only after one year from your last declination.
  • Vigilance cases: Officials with a pending vigilance or disciplinary case will not be appointed until cleared.
  • SC/ST/OBC/EWS: Appointment is provisional until caste status is verified.
  • Wording: The order will say “Appointment”, not “Promotion”.
