This is the final key, not the provisional one. It comes after considering the objections and feedback received from candidates till 20.07.2026. So the answers given here are the ones that will be used for evaluation.
Total 4 questions have been deleted in Paper-I in every series. Paper-II and Paper-III have no deletions.

The order has been circulated to AD (Staff) RO Dibrugarh, SSPOs Guwahati Division, SSRM RMS ‘GH’ Division, SRM RMS ‘S’ Division, the SPOs of Darang, Cachar, Goalpara, Nalbari-Barpeta, Dibrugarh, Nagaon, Sivasagar and Tinsukia Divisions, and the Manager MMS Guwahati.

How to Calculate Your Score Correctly
Follow these steps carefully. Most candidates make mistakes here and then panic for no reason.
- Step 1 — Check your series letter first. It is printed on the cover of your question booklet. Series A, B, C and D have completely different answer sequences. Matching the wrong series will give you a totally wrong score.
- Step 2 — Tally Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III separately. Do not mix them into one total straight away.
- Step 3 — Handle the 4 deleted questions. In Paper-I, four questions in your series have been deleted. Deleted questions are removed from evaluation. Do not count them as either right or wrong while making your own estimate. Wait for the department’s official scoring method in the result.
- Step 4 — Check the qualifying marks separately for each paper. Many departmental exams require you to clear each paper individually, not just the aggregate.
- Step 5 — Do not round up in your favour. Count honestly. A realistic estimate is more useful than an optimistic one.
Provisional Key vs Final Key — What Changed
- The provisional answer key was issued on 14.07.2026, two days after the exam.
- Candidates were given a window to submit objections and feedback. That window closed on 20.07.2026.
- The department examined those objections. Where a question was found faulty, ambiguous or having more than one correct answer, it was deleted.
- This final answer key dated 03.09.2026 is the outcome. It is now final and evaluation will be based on it.
So if you had raised an objection on a Paper-I question and see it marked as Deleted in your series, your objection was accepted.

- Result preparation — the department will now evaluate OMR sheets against this final key.
- Merit list — prepared category-wise and division-wise as per the vacancy position of Assam Circle for the vacancy year 2026.
- Result publication — will be uploaded on the Assam Circle website and the India Post website. The order itself directs AD (Tech) CO and AD (CEPT) to upload it.
- Document verification and posting orders follow after the result.
