What’s New?
The Department of Posts (Establishment Division, PAP Section) has issued a Corrigendum in October 2026. It corrects a small but very important mistake in the Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) order for 2025-26.
Order No.: PP-26/1/2020-PAP
Main bonus order dated: 16.10.2026
What Was the Mistake?
In the original bonus order, Para 3.4 had the wrong date.
- Written earlier: 01.04.2026
- Correct date: 01.04.2025
This one-year difference matters a lot. With the wrong date, many Gramin Dak Sevaks who left service during the year could have missed their bonus.
Corrected Rule (Para 3.4) in Simple Words
- Gramin Dak Sevaks who resigned, were discharged, or left service between 01.04.2025 and 31.03.2026 will get a proportionate ex-gratia bonus.
- “Proportionate” means the bonus will be based on how long they worked during that year.
- The amount will be calculated as per Para 3.1 of the main bonus order.
What Stays the Same?
- All other terms and conditions of the 16.10.2026 bonus order remain unchanged.
- Only the date in Para 3.4 has been corrected.
Who Benefits From This?
- GDS who resigned during 2025-26
- GDS who were discharged during 2025-26
- GDS who left service for any reason between April 2025 and March 2026
This also includes many GDS who left the GDS cadre after getting selected in departmental exams like GDS to MTS or GDS to Postman, if their service as GDS ended during this period. They should check with their office for their exact case.
What Should You Do?
- If you or someone you know left GDS service between 01.04.2025 and 31.03.2026, contact the concerned Divisional Office or Sub-Divisional Head.
- Keep your service details and bank account information ready.
- Ask about the status of the ex-gratia bonus payment.
Who Received This Corrigendum?
- All Chief Postmasters General and Postmasters General
- CGMs of BD, Parcel, and PLI Directorates
- Director, RAKNPA; GM, CEPT; Directors of all PTCs
