AP Circle Declares Supplementary Result for MTS to Postman/Mail Guard

Good news for MTS officials in Andhra Pradesh! The Andhra Pradesh Postal Circle has declared a supplementary result of the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) for promotion of MTS to Postman / Mail Guard for the vacancy year 2026.

The main result came out on 22 September 2026. After that, 9 selected candidates declined their promotion. So the Circle Office has now filled those 9 seats with the next eligible candidates from the merit list.

The letter (No. RE/3-7/R/2026) was issued by the Assistant Director (Recruitment), O/o the CPMG, AP Circle, Vijayawada on 13 October 2026.

Quick Facts

  • Circle: Andhra Pradesh
  • Exam: LDCE for MTS to Postman / Mail Guard, vacancy year 2026 (01.01.2026 to 31.12.2026)
  • Written exam: 12 July 2026
  • Data Entry Skill Test (DEST): 13 September 2026
  • Main result: 22 September 2026
  • Supplementary result: 13 October 2026
  • Candidates selected now: 9 (6 UR, 1 SC, 2 ST)
  • Last date to accept or decline: 21 October 2026
  • Divisions to report compliance by: 22 October 2026

Why a Supplementary Result?

After the main result, 9 successful MTS candidates gave in writing that they did not want the Postman post. Their divisional heads accepted these declinations between 28 September and 5 October 2026. This left 9 seats empty:

  • 6 in the UR category
  • 1 in the SC category
  • 2 in the ST category

Points to notice:

  • All six UR candidates scored 142 in Paper I+II (the merit marks). Their order was decided by seniority, as per Directorate rules.
  • The selection is based on merit plus each candidate’s order of preference for division. So a candidate with higher marks may not appear here if they did not choose the division where the seat opened.

In Merit, But Not Allotted

The letter also names candidates who came in the merit list but could not get a division this time.

Due to their limited preferences (no vacancy in the divisions they chose, when their turn came):
