Tip for Google Analytics: add UTM codes to share links, for example ?utm_source=whatsapp&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=ssr_q3_2026. Interest rate posts get repeat searches every quarter, so keep this URL and update it rather than making a new page each time.
Interest Rates Stay the Same for October to December 2026
If you save money in the post office, here is a quick update. The Government has decided not to change the interest rates on Small Savings Schemes for the third quarter of FY 2026-27. This covers the period from 1 October 2026 to 31 December 2026.
The Ministry of Finance announced this through an Office Memorandum dated 30 September 2026. On the same day, the Department of Posts issued SB Order No. 12/2026 to pass this on to all Circles and post offices.
So the rates you saw from July to September 2026 will continue for the next three months.
