The Office of the Chief Postmaster General, Chhattisgarh Circle, Raipur has declared the result of the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) for promotion to Postal Assistant (PA) and Sorting Assistant (SA) cadres.

- This is a promotional examination, so there is no reservation in promotion for OBC and EWS candidates.
- OBC and EWS candidates have to clear the UR qualifying percentage.

Cut-Off Analysis (What This Tells You)
If you are preparing for the next PA SA departmental exam, study these numbers carefully:
- UR last selected mark: 73 out of 100 (Paper-I)
- ST last selected mark: 71 out of 100
- SC last selected mark: 64 out of 100
- Topper’s mark: 78 out of 100, with a perfect 25/25 in DEST
What this means for you:
- Qualifying marks are only 40%, but the real cut-off crossed 70+ because selection is merit-based against limited vacancies.
- Just “passing” is not enough. You have to score high.
- DEST marks decide your rank. Look at rank 3 and rank 4 — both scored 76 in Paper-I, and the ranking was decided by DEST (24.85 vs 24.68). Similarly, ranks 6, 7, 8 and 9 all scored 74.
- Typing speed is not a formality. It is a rank-maker.
Final Answer Key 2026 — Deleted Questions
The final answer key of Paper-I (Sets A, B, C and D) has been released in Annexure-B. Two questions have been deleted in each set:
- Set A: Q. 92 and Q. 93 — Deleted
- Set B: Q. 82 and Q. 83 — Deleted
- Set C: Q. 72 and Q. 73 — Deleted
- Set D: Q. 62 and Q. 63 — Deleted
These are the same two questions appearing at different positions in different sets.
Important Dates — Action Required Immediately
Selected candidates, please note these deadlines. Missing them can cost you your promotion.
- On or before 18.09.2026 — All Divisions/Units to issue promotion and allotment orders.
- By 23.09.2026 — Selected candidates must accept or decline the place of posting. If you do not respond, your promotion will be deemed declined.
- On or before 25.09.2026 — Joining process to be completed.
- By 28.09.2026 — Consolidated report to be submitted to Circle Office.
Other Important Instructions in the Result Memo
- The selection is purely provisional, subject to fulfilment of relevant Recruitment Rules.
- No provisional candidate should be given appointment without regularization of candidature.
- Divisions must verify the current status of candidature before promoting the official.
- Officials undergoing punishment should not be promoted, and such cases are to be referred to Circle Office as per Directorate letter X-7/6/2022-SPN-II dated 17.05.2023.
- Candidates who qualified in an earlier LDCE but refused the promotion offer will be promoted after completion of one year from the date of refusal (Directorate letter W-17/10/2023-SPN-I dated 06.03.2023).
- If any mistake is found in a candidate’s details or eligibility, the name can be deleted from the selection list.
- The provision of reviewing results of failed SC/ST candidates has been discontinued (Postal Directorate letter 4-13/2015-SPB-I dated 08.04.2016).
OMR Answer Sheet Copy — RTI Procedure
Since the exam was conducted on OMR answer sheets, requests for re-totaling or revaluation will not be entertained. However, you can get a photocopy of your own OMR sheet through RTI.
Follow these steps:
- Pay Rs. 25/- per paper (with key) plus Rs. 10/- as RTI application fee at the post office.
- Submit the RTI application to the CPIO & Assistant Director (Staff), O/o CPMG Chhattisgarh Circle, Raipur – 492001.
- Apply within one year from the date of result declaration, i.e. on or before 16.09.2027.
- Route the application through the Divisional/Unit concerned (proper channel only).
- Attach the original fee payment receipt.
- Always mention your Roll Number in the application.
- OMR sheets are preserved for one year only. Applications after that will not be entertained.
- Copies are given to the candidate himself/herself only (self only).

No. The result has been declared on a provisional basis and is subject to fulfilment of Recruitment Rules and verification of candidature.

Q3. Can I apply for revaluation of my OMR sheet?
