Chhattisgarh Circle PA/SA Result 2026: Addendum Issued on 25 September 2026

Good news was declared for many Postmen and MTS in Chhattisgarh earlier this month, when the result of the PA/SA departmental exam came out. Now, the Circle Office has issued a small but important addendum to that result.

Here is everything you need to know, in simple words.

Quick Background

  • Exam: Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) for promotion to PA (PO), PA (CO) and SA
  • For: Eligible Category A departmental officials
  • Vacancy Year: 2026
  • Written Exam Date: 28 June 2026
  • DEST (Data Entry Skill Test): 13 September 2026
  • Original Result Memo: Dated 16 September 2026 (Annexure ‘A’)
  • Addendum Date: 25 September 2026
  • Issued by: Assistant Director (Staff), Office of the Chief Postmaster General, Chhattisgarh Circle, Raipur

What Does the Addendum Say?

The addendum adds Note 1 below the result list in Annexure ‘A’.

As per this note:

  • The candidate at Serial No. 13, a Postman from Korba HO, has been declared successful in the exam.
  • However, his promotion will be effective only after the penalty period ends, as per a penalty order dated 13 May 2026.

In short, he has passed, but his promotion to PA/SA will start only after the penalty is over.

No other changes have been made to the result. All other successful candidates remain as declared in the memo dated 16 September 2026.

Who Has Received This Addendum?

  • General Manager, CEPT Mysuru (for uploading on the India Post website)
  • Director (DE), Dak Bhawan, New Delhi
  • SSPOs/SPOs of Bastar, Bilaspur, Durg, Raigarh, Raipur, Rajnandgaon, Surguja and Kanker divisions
  • SRM, RMS RP Division Raipur
  • Notice Board of the Circle Office

The Big Lesson for Every Aspirant

This addendum shows something that every Postman to PA and MTS to PA aspirant should remember:

  • Passing the exam is only one part. Your promotion also depends on your service record.
  • A penalty that is in force can delay your promotion, even after you clear the exam.
  • Vigilance clearance and a clean conduct record are checked before any promotion order.

So along with your Postal Assistant exam preparation, keep your work record clean. Hard work in the exam should not be wasted because of a service issue.

Planning to Appear in the Next PA/SA Exam?

If you missed out this time, don’t lose heart. The PA SA departmental exam is a great chance to move up from Postman or MTS to a Postal or Sorting Assistant post, with better pay and a better role.

Here’s how to prepare smartly:

  • Follow the latest Postman to PA syllabus and MTS to PA syllabus
  • Solve Postal Assistant previous year question papers to understand the pattern
  • Take regular Postal Assistant mock tests to build speed
  • Practise typing for the DEST, since many candidates lose marks here
  • Use good Postal Assistant study material based on departmental rules
