The Vigilance Unit of the Department of Posts has announced the nationwide roll-out of the Data Entry Module for loss and fraud cases, which is part of the larger Investigation Module.
The order was issued on 08.09.2026 vide Letter No. 17-15/onlineportal/2024-Inv, signed by Ravi Midha, Assistant Director (CCS), Dak Bhawan, New Delhi.
The module goes live on 15.09.2026. Before that, a Video Conference demonstration will be held on 10.09.2026 (Thursday).

What Is the Data Entry Module?
In simple words, this is a digital system for recording loss and fraud cases in India Post.
Until now, details of loss and fraud cases were largely maintained through manual registers and physical files at division and circle level. The new Data Entry Module brings this work onto an online portal as part of the department’s Investigation Module.
It is being developed and hosted by CEPT (Centre for Excellence in Postal Technology), Mysuru, and has already been piloted in Maharashtra Circle and Andhra Pradesh Circle before this nationwide roll-out.
